Description

This is my version of Lucifer. I first painted it with a violet skin and red hair... no need to tell you this looked awful.. And then, I decided to make it a grayscale. It looked nice but also looked unfinished. That's why I added some red, So it became a monochrome. But yet, I found the painting empty, unfinished. So I decided to make it like any devil should look like: Blood-Red skin and Black hair. At first, I wanted this devil to look different from the ones we often see, but what the hell, () It ended like a common devil anyway. . . As you'll notice, he doesn't have horns, it was part of the "different looking devil" concept... I put a ring in his nose to remind the rings bulls have in theirs, because, afterall, Lucifer is a redbull, no?

This is the fist time I paint a man. I always paint women.. I'm quite satisfied with Myself. It looked a bit feminine, So I widened the jaw and make it look more evil, with a little grin.

The background was really a problem: It would never suit the character. I had first painted some red lightnings with white smoke over them. But It really clashed with everything else. So I painted a kind of "fire", more suitable.

The shoulders again suffered an emptiness issue, that's why there's a tattoo.

It took me 2 evenings to paint, I'm kinda fast these times around: 2 paintings in a week. I used photoshop cs and a MousE. (no wacom, as usual)
This is entierly made with a mouse, that is to say that I did not draw a handmade lineart, it's the first time.
